Private Lessons
Each monthly package includes one-on-one at-home private lessons held once/week with one of our instructors. Instruments offered are Piano, Acoustic guitar, ukulele, electric guitar, bass, drums, & voice.

FAQs
We provide in-home private music lessons, which means we come to your home! We currently service most of North San Diego County and if you don’t fall within our driving radius, we offer virtual lessons as well!
01. Where do lessons take place?
Lesson duration options are 30, 45, or 60 minutes weekly. We recommend longer duration options for students taking lessons in multiple instruments.
02. What if my child is learning multiple instruments?
We recommend starting at age 5; however, if you have a 4-year-old who would like to trial lessons, we have that option as well.
03. At what age do you recommend starting lessons?
Yes! We currently offer recital options in the Spring and Winter each year!
04. Do you offer recital opportunities?
We recommend daily practice (5 days a week) starting in increments of 15-20 minutes daily, and going up from there, depending on age and skill level.
05. How often does my child need to practice?
If you need to miss a lesson, with at least 24 hours' notice, we have options for makeup lessons.
06. What if we need to miss a lesson?
We teach Piano, Acoustic guitar, ukulele, electric guitar, bass, drums, and voice.

Policies
Marin Music Lessons are a month-to-month commitment. Our fixed monthly rate is based on the full year, 48 lessons. You will receive an extra lesson for any month that has 5 weeks in it. This will accommodate the holidays when we are closed.
If you cancel after you are billed for the month, you can finish out your lessons for that month. You will not be refunded for the remaining lessons.
Lesson Commitment
If your teacher is late, you will still receive your full lesson time. If a student is late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time.
On-Time Policy
Holiday Schedule
Below are the holidays that Marin Music Lessons observes. Our monthly rate accommodates these holidays. There will be no lessons on these holidays. If your lesson falls on a different holiday (Ex. 4th of July), you can request a makeup lesson.
Spring Break (April 05-12, 2026)
Thanksgiving (November 22-29, 2026)
Winter Break (December 22- January 4, 2027)
Make-Up Lesson Policy
- Marin Music Lessons does not offer refunds for missed lessons.
- Makeup lessons are available upon at least 24-hour notice.
- If the student is sick, you can request a makeup lesson as long as you give at least 24 hours' notice; otherwise, we can offer a virtual lesson.
- If you choose to forgo the makeup lesson time offered or virtual lesson, you will not be refunded for the missed lesson.
- If your teacher is out of town, you will be offered a makeup lesson or a substitute teacher.
Our aim is to create consistency for our students’ and teachers’ schedules. We understand that life happens and things come up so we will do our best to accommodate.
